The ethics of killing babies. The genie is out of the bottle.
A new article in the Journal of Medical Ethics proposes that newborn babies are not real persons, and therefore it is as ethical to kill them as it is to abort the unborn.
This news item (followed up on by Jon here) sets the stage for a powerful exchange between Jon Rappoport and Alex Jones.

Coaching the Coaches
Jon writes...
"In my consulting practice, I’ve worked with many clients who are coaches.
"In these sessions, they’ve let their hair down. Some of them have spoken to me about their frustrations, their failed attempts to get clients to change their lives for the better.
"I’ve heard the same statements from therapists...

Jon interviews reporter Dan Olmsted about his book The Age Of Autism
Radio podcast: Click here to listen to the interview. (Duration: 57min)
In the first half of the program, Jon and Dan discuss what is autism. Also discussed is some of the controversy surrounding Andrew Wakefield. Also discussed is the suicidal and homicidal behavior of US troops -- the connection to mefloquine, an anti-malaria drug.
In the second half of the program, Jon and Dan discuss Dan's recent book entitled "THE AGE OF AUTISM: Mercury, Medicine, and a Man-Made Epidemic." (Dan is co-author of the book).
Jon and Dan round out the show with a mention of what veteran LA Times reporter Myron Levin uncovered about mercury in vaccines (item-1, item-2) (Myron's farewell e-mail here). In closing, they briefly discuss of the platform of The Canary Party (site, twitter).
About Dan Olmsted:
Dan Olmsted (site, twitter) is a former editor at USA Today. From 2005-2007, he wrote the "Age of Autism" column for UPI. He is the editor of The Age of Autism, the nation's first daily Web newspaper for the environmental-biomedical community – those who believe autism is an environmentally induced illness, that it is treatable, and that children can recover. For the most part, the major media in the United States aren't interested in that point of view, they won't investigate the causes and possible biomedical treatments of autism independently, and they don't listen to the most important voices – those of the parents. We do all those things, and more.
About Jon Rappoport:
Over the last 35 years, Jon Rappoport (site, twitter) has gained a reputation as one of the most relentless medical investigative reporters in the world. Nominated early in his career for a Pulitzer Prize, Jon has written for CBS Healthwatch, LA Weekly, Spin Magazine, Stern, and other newspapers and magazines in the US and Europe. His is currently the associate producer on a film in progress, American Addict, detailing the effects of pharmaceuticals on the US population.

Jon interviews Mary Holland on the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program
Radio podcast: Click here to listen to the interview. (Duration: 58min)
In the first half of the program, Jon and Mary discuss Mary's recent paper published in the Pace Environmental Law Review entitled "Unanswered Questions from the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program: A Review of Compensated Cases of Vaccine-Induced Brain Injury." (Mary is co-author of the paper).
In the second half of the program, Jon and Mary discuss Mary's recent book entitled "VACCINE EPIDEMIC: How Corporate Greed, Biased Science, and Coercive Government Threaten Our Human Rights, Our Health, and Our Children." (Mary is co-editor of the book).
Jon writes:
I interviewed Mary Holland, co-author of the book, VACCINE EPIDEMIC. One of the upshots of that conversation was: the official consensus about vaccines is artificially constructed. It is sustained through fear, peer pressure, media close-mindedness, and government intervention.
Which is to say, frankly, that no one in his right mind would accept the pronouncements of the pro-vaccine “community” at face value.
A drone would, though. A drone would automatically assume that all vaccines are necessary and wonderful, because he had heard it voiced so many times, from so many towers of authority, with so much assurance. A drone would slip right into the consensus, thinking he was a first cousin to a “real scientist.”
About Mary Holland:
Mary Holland (site, twitter) -- Research Scholar and Director of the Graduate Legal Skills Program, NYU School of Law, is co-editor of VACCINE EPIDEMIC, a book that exposes corruption, greed, and coercion in America's current vaccination system, for which no sound science exists. Mary has clerked for a federal judge and worked at the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights and at prominent U.S. law firms. She has testified before Congress, filed amicus briefs, and appeared on Court TV, Fox, CBS, and NBC. She graduated from Harvard College and holds graduate degrees from Columbia University. She is a co-founder and board member of the Center for Personal Rights.

AMERICAN ADDICT
18 May 2012 Update:
AMERICAN ADDICT is playing at the Seattle International Film Festival, May 18 and 19, 2012. Click here for details. Scroll down below for trailer.
The United States comprises 5 percent of the world’s population but consumes 80 percent of its pharmaceutical narcotics. This startling statistic opens AMERICAN ADDICT, documentarian Sasha Knezev’s in-depth examination of the corporatization of America’s drug dependency and its impact on both capitalism and public health. He supports his case with disturbing statistics and emotional first-person accounts from addicts, their families, noted doctors, scientific researchers, and police. Archival news footage recounts the frequent role of prescription narcotics in celebrity deaths—from Elvis Presley to Michael Jackson and Heath Ledger—to illustrate how this $64 billion industry has shaped social and political policies. A thorough indictment, AMERICAN ADDICT leaves no facet of the pharmacological industry’s influence unexplored. Noting historical examples such as the government’s Bush-era revamping of the Medicaid program to benefit big business and its staggering contributions to political candidates, the film exposes the pharmaceutical industry’s sway on politics and education. This hard-to-forget film will leave you questioning medical practices and the place of “legal” drugs in our society.
